My short story, “Ghouljaw,” won the “Best of Issue” award in the Fiction category for the fall, 2009 issue of genesis Magazine. This is my first piece of published fiction, and my third creative writing award from IUPUI.

Winners in other categories for “Best of Issue” included Autumn L. Stewart for “Fortune Hunter” (Non-Fiction), and Deanna Morris for “Sewing Room” (Poetry). “Living in Heaven 02” (which won “Best of Issue” in the art category) is the front cover photo by Jiang Wenting, and Erika Yasuno supplied the pen-and-ink drawing of “Paris Affection.”
