Closing in on a year since I received the initial cover-art drafts from the inimitable Dan Sauer, along with the final galleys from Hippocampus Press. I’m pondering the process this morning, dwelling on (in an otherwise pitiful year of 2020) my mystifying stroke of luck to cross paths with artists (particularly ones who endorsed the project) saturated in various creative crafts.
